Building Blocks
You are here

The appearance of building blocks in the Kovalska assortment is primarily due to the needs of high-rise cast-in-frame construction and high demand for alternative economic building materials.
Today, the assortment of building blocks consists of wall blocks (190 and 250 mm thick), partition blocks (115 mm thick) and thin partition blocks (90 mm thick) made of heavy weight concrete or light-weight expanded clay concrete.
The advantages of building blocks over ceramic or silicate bricks are:
Low specific weight — 1.5–2 times lower than that of brickwork
Convenient dimensions — the volume of one standard block is equal to several bricks.
Speed of work — in just one shift, a qualified bricklayer can lay a wall three times more than that of brickwork.
High productivity of construction with the use of building blocks leads to a decrease in the production cost of 1 square metre of residential or commercial real estate. And the tongue-and-groove system in three-core concrete blocks allows you to refuse the use of cement and sand mortar on vertical seams.
The production of blocks is carried out using equipment of the German company HESS by the method of volume vibro-pressing according to the technology, which gives the products an ideal geometric shape and high performance.
