The Kovalska Industrial and Construction Group is expanding its presence in the west of the country. The company intends to build a plant for the production of aerated concrete blocks in the Lviv region within two years. According to preliminary estimates, the investment will reach 45 million euros.

«The new production complex will cover an area of 15 hectares. After the implementation of the first stage, the planned capacity of the enterprise will exceed 500 thousand cubic meters of products per year. After the completion of the second stage, production will double and reach 1 million cubic meters of products per year.»
The new enterprise will be equipped with the most state-of-the-art, fully automated European equipment and will be able to create more than 300 jobs.
The Kovalska group confidently continues its course for regional development and strengthens its position in all areas. Having joined the enterprise’s group for manufacturing porous concrete in Nova Kakhovka last year, the Kovalska group became one of the three largest producers of aerated concrete in Ukraine. «Expansion of production facilities in the Lviv region will ensure the national leadership of the company in this segment,» Serhiy Pylypenko said.

«A new plant in the village of Rozvadiv in the Lviv region will be part of the production complex that already has a quarry for extraction of high-quality sand and facilities for lime burning. Galicia is also rich in deposits of the best gypsum stone. These substances are integral components in the production of aerated concrete. Thus, the issue of uninterrupted supply of new production facilities with quality raw materials can be resolved. In addition, the location of the plant will be advantageous in terms of logistics. After all, the largest and most modern enterprises for the production of cement are located very close to the plant. A developed road infrastructure gives the chance to satisfy completely the demand for aerated concrete in all corners of Western Ukraine using both automobile and railway transport. In addition, it gives the opportunity to establish export supplies to Europe.»
Active regional development of the Kovalska Industrial and Construction Group started more than 15 years ago. At present, the Kovalska group’s enterprises operate in the Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Lviv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions.
The Kovalska Industrial and Construction Group started its expansion to Western Ukraine last year by acquiring a production complex with an area of 140 hectares in the village of Rozvadiv, the Lviv region. It includes a sand quarry and a limestone quarry, lime kilns, a shop for manufacturing mineral powder and a factory for manufacturing silicate bricks.
Currently in the village of Rozvadiv in the Lviv region, building a plant for manufacturing the Siltek™ dry construction mixes is in progress. The production capacity of the enterprise will be 150 thousand tons of mixes per year.
