WHO WON THE XIII KOVALSKA ICG MINI-FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT?

28 matches, 10 teams, 3 days of competition and only one champion — all this is the 13th Kovalska ICG winter mini-football tournament, which took place on February 9–11 at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute sports arena.  

Throughout the tournament, 10 participating teams, including Kovalska, Konstruktyv, Beton Service, AvtoBud, Budindustriya, Budivelnyk, Siltek, OmKar, Darnytsia and Granit competed for the title of the winner.

Once again, the teams demonstrated their skills, tactical training and professional play, however, the title of the champion was secured by the Konstruktyv team of Beton Complex, which won the corporate football tournament for the sixth time.

The finalists of the fierce struggle for the Main Cup of the Group were the Konstruktyv and Kovalska teams, who finished the crucial game with a score of 2-6 in favour of Konstruktyv.

Despite the well-balanced and strategic play of Vladyslav Pasichnyk, a Darnytsya football player who was recognised as the winner in the “Best Player” nomination, his team took only third place.

In the final of the Small Cup, where the Siltek and AvtoBud teams met, the Siltek team won first place with a score of 5-1. Third place was won by the Budivelnyk team with a penalty shoot-out from the Budindustriya team.
 

The best goalkeeper of the tournament deservedly was Rostyslav Ruban from the Siltek team, who, like a superhero, saved his team in the most difficult situations. Rodion Yastremskyi from Beton Service became the absolute leader in the number of goals scored — nine shots at the opponent’s goal.

President Oleksandr Pylypenko, General Director Serhii Pylypenko and First Vice-President of Kovalska ICG Mykola Subotenko awarded the prize-winners and the participants of the 13th football tournament with medals, cups and cash certificates.

A short pause awaits us ahead, but very soon we will have another tournament, new emotions and perhaps a new champion.
